世德堂谢公司游神壁画

CHINGAY PRECESSION MURAL
时光荏苒，当年的壁画经过十年的气候侵蚀已损坏不堪，急需崭新有意义和富有回忆的新作品。终于在2022年12月由大马知名艺术家陈毓康完成了“世德堂谢公司游神”壁画。该壁画是根据世德堂谢公司谢氏族人口述及文献记载，重现当年1940年代谢氏族人在乔治市街道进行广惠圣王游神盛况。
After almost a decade of climate erosion, the mural needs to replaced, by a meaningful and reminiscing new work. Finally, ‘Seh Tek Tong Cheah Kongsi Chingay Precession Mural’ Is completed in Dec 2022, drawn by renowned Malaysian artist, Mr. Tang Yeok Khang.
The entire mural is depicted base on oral documentation with a few descendants of Seh Tek Tong Cheah Kongsi and some major archives. It was an event which Cheah Kongsi descendants march around the major streets in George Town with their deities being worshipped during 1940’s.
