Starting with the name of our founding ancestor, Dongshan Gong, and incorporating imagery of the geographical surroundings, this genealogical poem outlines the expectations for the descendants of the Shitang family to uphold the noble virtues. Written in the format of a five-character regulated verse, this poem provides a reference for naming the 40 generations of the Xie clan. As of today, in Penang, the lineage of the Xie family in Shitang has continued for 26 generations.
